God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right, if I surrender to His will.
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next

Dio, concedimi la serenità di accettare le cose che non posso cambiare,
il coraggio di cambiare le cose che posso,
e la saggezza per conoscerne la differenza.
Vivendo un giorno per volta;
assaporando un momento per volta;
accettando la difficoltà come sentiero per la pace.
Prendendo, come Lui ha fatto, questo mondo peccaminoso così com’è, non come io vorrei che fosse.
Confidando che Egli metterà a posto tutte le cose, se io mi arrendo al Suo volere.
Che io possa essere ragionevolmente felice in questa vita,
e infinitamente felice con Lui per sempre nella prossima.
